- ↑ If a person resolves not to perform forbidden actions, he wilt either perform prescribed actions or will not perform actions at all. Prescribed actions purify the mind and total non-performance of actions conduces a man to God-realization. Total non-performance of actions means the state of freedom from lust rather than the state of inactivity or laziness because laziness etc., are also forbidden actions.
