Srimad Bhagavad Gita -Ramanujacharya

Chapter-18 Mokṣa Sannyāsa Yogaḥ

rāgī karma phala prepsur-lubdho hiṃsātmako’śuciḥ | harṣa śokānvitaḥ kartā rājasaḥ parikīrtitaḥ || 27 || 27. That agent is known as Rajasic who is swayed by desire and motivated by gain, stingy, cruel, impure and overwhelmed by delight and grief. Commentary Cruel — one who hurts others who have been engaged to do the work; impure — lacks the [mental & physical] purity required for the act; overwhelmed by delight and grief — is elated or depressed by success or failure in victory or defeat, in a battle.
