Srimad Bhagavad Gita -Ramanujacharya

Chapter-18 Mokṣa Sannyāsa Yogaḥ

yasya nāhaṅkṛto bhāvo buddhir yasya na lipyate | hatvāpi sa imāṃ-llokān na hanti na nibadhyate || 17 || 17. He who is free from the egoistic notion and whose understanding is not tainted — though he slays all these men, he slays not, nor is he bound. Commentary He who is free from the egoistic notion of being the sole agent is therefore not tainted by self-conceit. He has arrived at the logical conclusion that — 'As I am not the agent of this work, its results are extraneous to me; so this work does not belong to me'— such a person, is not bound by this enterprise known as ‘battle’. In other words he does not experience the karma of such actions.
