Srimad Bhagavad Gita -Ramanujacharya

Chapter-13 Prakṛti-Puruṣa-vivek Yogaḥ

Commentary Granted that the ātman being free from the Gunas, does not act; but how is it possible that the ātman is not tainted by its constant association with the character of the body? To this, Sri Krishna replies: — yathā sarvagataṃ saukṣmyād-ākāśaṃ nopalipyate | sarvatrāvasthito dehe tathātmā nopalipyate || 33 || 33. As the all-pervading ether is not tainted because of its subtlety, even so, the ātman abiding in the body everywhere, is not tainted.
