Commentary

Does not vitiate himself — harm himself by his [erroneous] perception of intrinsic ontological diversity but saves himself from Samsāra as a result of seeing the equality of the ātman everywhere as 'the cognising subject'.

prakṛtyaiva ca karmāṇi kriyamāṇāni sarvaśaḥ |
yaḥ paśyati tathātmānam akartāraṃ sa paśyati || 30 ||

30. One who sees that all acts are done universally by Prakrti alone and likewise that the ātman is
not the doer, indeed has insight.
