Chapter-13 Prakṛti-Puruṣa-vivek Yogaḥ

ya evaṃ vetti puruṣaṃ prakṛtiṃ ca guṇaiḥ saha |
sarvathā vartamāno’pi na sa bhūyo’bhijāyate || 24 ||

24. One who understands the Puruṣa (Self) ) and the Prakrti (body) thus, along with the Gunas [to
be described], is not born again, regardless of one’s (material) situation.

Commentary

One who 'understands'— namely, one who knows these two principles as they really are, by the process of discrimination: — is never re-associated with Material Nature again. 'Regardless of one’s (material) condition' — means in whatever distressful embodiment one may be in [at present].
