tad viddhi praṇipātena paripraśnena sevayā | CommentaryYou can acquire this teaching from the enlightened ones, according to your level of competence. If you attend on them through full prostration and by extensive questioning and by serving them, they will explain it to you. The wise are those who have direct realisation of the true nature of the ātman. Having been honoured by you through prostration etc., and by observing your disposition characterised by a sincere desire for learning which you have demonstrated by your questions, they will instruct you in this doctrine. Sri Krishna now speaks of the characteristics of direct and empirical Self-realisation. |
