Chapter 18
Mokshasanyaasa Yoga

Tatparya Nirnaya :- Making the Lord the refuge, one should offer to Him the performance of all ordained actions. It is not the intention here that one should perform actions both which are ordained as well as those not ordained. Otherwise, one may have separate opinion about the ordained actions. In which case statements like fix your mind on Me, according to one righteous duty and for fame etc. would have been contradictory. In the statement सर्वकर्माण्यापि the conjunction अपि signifies that without surrendering to him no actions should be performed.
57. Consciously surrendering all thoughts to Me as the supreme One, exalting them through equanimity of intellect, be attuned ever in thought to Me.
Tatparya Nirnaya :- Sri Krishna says in this verse that both in those who have surrendered to the Resplendent Lord and also in those versed in the three-fold knowledge, there is no difference. All those actions are performed with the intention of surrendering them to Him alone.
