Translation

“As we enjoyed amorous play, the jewel-studded ankle-bells on my feet rang out with the sound ‘runjhun’. Although my waist-bells were very talkative, they gradually came undone. Unite me at once with that Shri Kṛṣṇa who catches me by the hair, repeatedly kisses my face and engages in sensual games to the fullest extent.”

Commentary

“When Shri Kṛṣṇa performed such endearing love-play, the jewelled ankle-bells on my feet would jingle. At first the sash of bells around my waist used to chime, but later it would break and fall silent. He used to catch my hair and kiss me. O sakhi, unite me with him at once.”
