CHAPTER -7
5. O mighty-armed, litis is the lower (Prakrti). But different from this, know My higher Prakrti, (which is) the principle of self-consciousness, by which this universe is upheld. O mighty-armed, this is the lower (Prakrti). not superior; base- impure, productive of evil, being the bondage of sanisāra. But different from this, the aforesaid, know My higher Prakrti. the pure and superior one, which is My very Self-the principle of self-consciousness, in the form of the "Ksetrajña[1]", that which is the cause of the sustenance of life, by which Prakrti this universe is upheld, having been entered into by that (Prakrti). |

- ↑ Ksetra is the body as the field of the working of the soul. Kfc-trajñ" is the soul, and in the Gila often denotes the Realised Soul, who has the true knowledge of Ksetra. Of these much more later.
