46. The yogi is regarded as superior to those who practise asceticism, as also to those who have obtained knowledge; he is also superior to the men of action. Therefore, do you become a yogi, O Arjuna. The yogi is regarded as superior to those who practise asceticism, as also to those who have obtained knowledge, which here refers to erudition in the Śāstras; he is also superior to the men of action, those who perform "agnihbtra" and other works. Therefore, do you become a yogi, 0 Arjuna. |
