Commentary

What is the significance of describing the glories of the lotus feet of Shri Mukunda? How curious it is that Mukunda is now perplexed about how to pacify Rädhä’s pique. What can be said of Rädhä’s glories? Mukunda is personally praying to hold her lotus feet upon his head.

Kṛṣṇa’s feet have been compared to lotuses, the Ganges to fragrant pollen, and crest-jewels such as sapphires to bumblebees. Therefore this verse features rüpaka alaìkära. The chanda is çärdüla-vikréòita.

Thus ends the Bälabodhiné-prakäça commentary on
Act Nine of Shri Géta-govinda entitled Mugdha-mukunda.
