Shri Sankara's Gita Bhashya
(Sri Sankaracharya's Commentary on the Gita)
CHAPTER -1
30. The Gāndīva[1] drops down from my hand, and my skin is burning all over; I am unable to stand steady, and my mind reels, as it were.
31. And, O Keśava,[2] 1 see adverse omens; I do not also see any virtue in killing my kinsmen in battle.
32. Krsna, I do nol long for victory, nor empire, nor comforts. 0 Govinda,[3] what is the use of a kingdom to us? Or of worldly enjoyments? Or even of life? |
