What are the kinds of that sacrifice (Yajna). O Lord?

(i) The sacrifice in which all the means, the material, the process and the agent etc., are Brahma. is called Brahma sacrifice.

(ii) The sacrifice in which every material and act is dedicated to Me is called, 'Dedicated Sacrifice.'

(iii) The sacrifice in which the striver identifies himself with Brahma is called 'Identified Sacrifice.'

(iv) The sacrifice in which the striver restrains his senses and deviates them from their objects is called 'Self Control Sacrifice.'

(v) The sacrifice in which the striver's senses function without having any attachment or aversion is called 'Unattached Sense Sacrifice.'

(vi) The sacrifice in which the activities of life-breath, senses and mind are withdrawn and the intellect being aroused, the striver becomes an introvert is called 'Introvert Sacrifice'.

(vii) Utilizing wealth for the public weal is called 'Wealth Sacrifice.'

(viii) Facing difficulties happily, while performing one's duty is called 'Penance Sacrifice.'

(ix) Equanimity in success and failure and unfavourable reward is 'Yoga Sacrifice'.

(x) Study of the sacred books and practising constant remembrance is called 'Knowledge Sacrifice in the form of Self-study.'
