Karma and Free-will

We have the freedom of surrendering ourselves' to the Worthiest of Masters, but we delight in pandering to unworthy ones. We pine for an unrestricted, undetermined free-will, which is but a will-o-the wisp, forgetting that

Our wills are ours, we know not how
Our wills are ours to make them Thine.

Seated in the heart of all He does see beings 'whirled, mounted on a machine', says the Gita (XVIII. 61) but we are also told: 'Go, and seek ye shelter’ in Him, and by His grace not only shall you cease to be whirled, but rest in the Abode of Everlasting Peace. (XVIII. 62).
