Nimbarka Sampradaya has been on the planet since the time of Sri Nimbarkacharya. Before the Sampradaya was known as the Nimbarka Sampradaya, it was known as the Hamsa Sampradaya, the Sanakadi Sampradaya (or Kumara Sampradaya) and the Devarshi Sampradaya. This is because the first Acharya was Sri Hamsa Bhagavan, the Swan incarnation of Shri Radha Krsna as explained in the 11th Skandha of the Shrimad Bhagavatam.[1]

Ancientness
Shri Nimbarka Sampradaya is one of the most ancient of the 'Vaishnava Sampradaya' and is based on the 'Dwaitadwait' philosophy first propounded by Hans Bhagwan to Shri Sankadi Bhagwan then to Shri Narada Muni and then on to Shri Sudarshana, Chakravatar, Jagat Guru Shri Nimbarkacharya. The basic tenet consists of the worship of Shri Radha Madhav with Shri Radhe being personified as the inseparable part of Shri Krishna.

holy lands of the followers
Brindavan, Nandgram, Barsana and Govardhan are the chief Kshetras or holy lands of the followers of Nimbarkacharya. Parikrama of the 168 miles of Brij Bhumi is their foremost duty.[1]
