Bhadravan

Bhadravan / भद्रवन

This pastime place, situated two miles south-east of Nand Ghat and across the Yamuna, is one of the places where Shri Krishna and Shri Balram go to graze the cows. The forest of Bhadravan is named after Shri Balbhadra (Balram). Places of darsan here are Bhadra Sarovar and Gocharan Sthal.

Bhadra Sarovar

yajna-snana svarupaya rajyakhanda-prade
tirthraja namas-tubhyarh bhadrakhya sarase namah -Bhavishya Purana (Uttara-khand)
"O Bhadra Sarovar, O Tirthraja, my greetings to you. You are the personification of sacrifices (yajnas), and you bestow that post that is never destroyed (akhand rajyapad)." That person who bathes in this sarovar obtains unlimited wealth and enjoyment, and is finally successful in attaining prem bhakti to Shri Krishna and Shri Baldev.
