Chapter-8 Tāraka Brahma Yogaḥ

dhūmo rātris-tathā kṛṣṇaḥ ṣaṇmāsā dakṣiṇāyanam |
tatra cāndramasaṃ jyotir-yogī prāpya nivartate || 25 ||

25. Smoke, night, the dark fortnight, the six months of the southern course of the sun — the Yogi
who takes this path reaches the light of the moon and returns.

Commentary

The path described here is the one that leads to the realm of the manes (ancestors) and other such realms. Here the term ‘Yogi’ refers to one who performs good deeds.
