yadā viniyataṃ cittam-ātmany-evāvatiṣṭhate | CommentaryWhen the mind, which usually pursues sense gratification, abandons such desires and 'rests in the Self alone' — that is, becomes well-settled because of the realisation of the unsurpassable good in the Self alone, and rests there alone steadily, without movement — then, being 'free from all yearning’, one is said to be well-balanced. |
