Srimad Bhagavad Gita -Ramanujacharya

Chapter-3 Karma Yogaḥ

dhūmenāvriyate vahnir-yathādarśo malena ca | yatholbenāvṛto garbhas-tathā tenedam-āvṛtam || 38 || 38. As a fire is enveloped by smoke, as a mirror is covered by dust, and as an embryo by the amnion, so is this (world) enveloped by that (desire). Commentary The force of the desire-nature covers all beings like fire covered by smoke, as a mirror by dirt and a foetus by a sac.
