Radha’s Prem -Swami Sivananda
Scene 4
Act 1
Jo jo sharan pade, Prabhu tare, Murkha Raj: Swamiji, after last evening’s discussion here, I thought about the whole matter, and I feel that after all my original conception and yours of God are essentially the same; only yours is more concrete and so is more appealing to every one. But as I said yesterday at the close of the meeting I wonder what effect the mere repetition of a Name can have! I thought I was seeing things clearly when you suddenly switched on to the topic of the repetition of Name. That seems to be all wrong and very unscientific. I have come across so many people who go on rolling the beads and shouting “Ram, Ram”; but I consider they are all mere humbugs. What do they achieve by it? What are your views on this point? Do you consider it...... |
