Should he be considered only a saint? No, soon he becomes virtuous (very sacred) and obtains lasting peace. O Arjuna, take an oath that My devotee never falls.(31) Can other people also be your devotee? Yes, Arjuna, womenfolk, Vaisyas (members of the trading class), Sudras (those belonging to the labouring class) and even those who are born of the womb of sin, taking refuge in Mc, attain Me. What wonder then, that the holy Brahmanas and Ksatriyas be devoted to Me.(32-33) How should I become such a devotee, O Lord? Having obtained this transient and joyless life, worship Me. How should I worship you? Fix your mind on Me; be devoted to Me; adore Me; bow down to Me; thus uniting yourself to me and entirely depending on Me, you shall attain Me.(34) |
