vaishakha-masi pancamyam
jate candrodaye shubhe
yamunopavane reme
raseshvarya manoharah[1]


On the fifth day of the month of Madhava, as the moon beautifully rose, in a garden by the Yamuna's shore handsome Krishna enjoyed with Shri Radha, the queen of the rasa dance.
