grihitva tam ca tundena
garudo divya-vahanah
bhu-prishöhe pothayam asa
pakshabhyam tadayan muhuh[1]


With his beak the transcendental carrier Garuda grabbed Kaliya, threw him to the ground, and beat him with both wings again and again.
