ENGLISH TRANSLATION
11. ...by a lake, staring at the sky, frightened, and crying without stop. 12.Picking up his son and pressing Him to his chest, grieving Nanda gazed again and again at His face and wept. 13.Yasoda and Rohini gazed at the boy, wept, pressed Him to their breast, and kissed His face again and again. 14.Yasoda bathed her boy, had ceremonies performed to bring Him auspiciousness, and, her face and eyes filled with happiness, gave Him her breast. 15.Sri Narada said: Why did Durvasa Muni curse the king of Pandya-desa? O brahmana, please tell the story. 16.Sri Narayana Rsi said: In the country of Pandya-desa there was a very powerful king named Sahasraksa who, wounded by Kamadeva’s arrows, married a thousand wives. 17.In a beautiful and secluded garden by a riverbank on beautiful Mount Gandhamadana, he enjoyed with his wives. 18.Biting and scratching, he enjoyed many conjugal pastimes, beginning with the pastime of viparita, with his passionate wives. 19.A great yogi, that king expanded himself into a thousand forms to enjoy pastimes on the land and in the water. 20.Expanded into a thousand forms, the naked king enjoyed with his naked wives on the beautiful shore of the Puspabhadra river.
