CHAPTER 17
The Yog of Threefold Faith

तदित्यनभिसंधाय फलं यज्ञतप:क्रिया:।
दानक्रियाश्च विविधा: क्रियन्ते मोक्षकाङ्क्षिभि: ॥25॥

[ “Stripped of desire for any reward and holding that God is all pervading, persons who aspire to the ultimate bliss embark on the tasks of yagya, penance, and charity as ordained by scripture.’’ ]

Tat denotes surrender to God. Stated differently, one has to recite OM and take up the accomplishment of yagya, alms-giving, and penance with absolute trust in tat, i.e., that God. Krishn next elucidates the meaning and use of sat.
