CHAPTER 10
An Account of God’s Glory
महर्षीणां भृगुरहं गिरामस्म्येकमक्षरम्। [ “I am Bhrigu* [*One of the patriarchs created by the first Manu.] among the great saints (maharshi), OM among words, the yagya of intoned prayers (japyagya) among yagya, and the Himalaya among stationary objects.” ] Krishn is Bhrigu among great sages. He is also OM, symbol of the Supreme Spirit, among words. He is the jap-yagya among yagya. Yagya is the image of that special form of worship that enables a worshipper to be united with God. In summary, therefore, it is remembrance of the Supreme Spirit and recitation of his name. |
