Yatra yogeśvarah Kfas0 yatra Pārtho dhanurdharah
Tatra śrir-vijayo bhūlir-dhruvā nitir-matir-mania

78. Wherever is Krsna, the Lord of Yoga, wherever is Pārtha, the wieldcr of the bow, there are fortune, victory, prosperity, and sound policy; such is my conviction.

Wherever, on that side on which, is Krnsa, the Lord of YogaHe is the Lord of all Yogas, since the seed of all Yoga originates from Him[1];

wherever, on that side on which, is Pūrthu. the wielder of the bow called the Gāndīva,

there, on that side, that of the Pāndavas, are fortune, victory, prosperity, excellence and expanse of fortune, and sound, unfailing policy, statesmanship;

  1. All Yoga i.e. both iñāna-yoga and Karma-yoga, have for their seed discrimination (Māim) and non-attachment (vairāgya), which arise from the Śāslra; and this (seed) depends on the Lord as it is impossible of attainment without His Grace. Therefore, since Yoga and its fruit arc attainable only through the Lord's Grace, He is the Lord of Yoga. (A)
