CHAPTER 11
Revelation of The Omnipresent

The problem raised in the chapter is, as we have seen, how we should recite his name if speaking “Krishn” is an offence. The problem was resolved as far back as Chapter 8 in which Krishn laid down the canon that worshippers should recite OM, the primal word or sound that represents the all-pervading, pre-eminent, changeless God. OM is the essence that prevails through the whole universe and which is hidden within Krishn. Worshippers were counselled to recite this sacred syllable and concentrate on the form of Krishn. Krishn’s image and OM are the keys to the success of a worshipper’s prayer and meditation. Arjun then pleaded with Krishn to show him his four-armed form and Krishn did appear in his gentle, merciful form
