Srimad Bhagavad Gita -Ramanujacharya

Chapter-8 Tāraka Brahma Yogaḥ

antakāle ca mām-eva smaran-muktvā kalevaram |
yaḥ prayāti sa mad-bhāvaṃ yāti nāsty-atra saṃśayaḥ || 5 ||

5. And the one who, at the last moment, while leaving the body, departs, contemplating upon Me
alone, attains My being; of this, there is no doubt.

Commentary

In other words, in whatever way one meditates on Me, one attains that very form, in the same manner as the royal sage Bharata attained the form of the deer remembered by him at moment of death. Such is the meaning.
