Chapter-6 Dhyāna Yogaḥ

asaṃyatātmanā yogo duṣprāpa iti me matiḥ |
vaśyātmanā tu yatatā śakyo’vāptum upāyataḥ || 36 ||

36. In my opinion Yoga [harmony] is hard to attain by a person of unrestrained mind. However, it
can be attained through skilful means by one, who strives for it and has a subdued mind.

Commentary

Yoga of equality of vision can be attained by proper means, by one who constantly practices, whose mind is subdued by Right Actions (Karma Yoga) as taught before. Arjuna now asks questions about the greatness of Yoga, as it really is, about which he has been taught.
