Commentary

“Even now, your thirst for her is visible in your eyes. Your guilt, in the form of love’s redness, is still there. The escalating absorption in çåìgära-rasa that arose in her association is evident in your eyes even now. Cunning behaviour manifests according to the nature of one’s heart.”

Alternatively, saraséruha-locana means, “O you whose eyes are half closed because you are always immersed in bliss!” Rädhä admonished Kṛṣṇa, “Go to that woman who has showered her mercy on you all night.”

Kṛṣṇa replied, “Rädhä, I am one in prana and one in body with you. I am speaking the truth when I say that I have not associated with any other woman. It is true that my eyes are reddish – but not from staying awake with another woman. My eyes are closing from tiredness.”
