iha rasa-bhaëane kåta-hari-guëane madhuripu-pada-sevake
kali-yuga-caritaà na vasatu duritaà kavi-nåpa-jayadevake
ramate yamunä-pulina vane

Translation

The king of poets, Jayadeva, glorifies the pastimes of Shri Hari, which are completely full of the romantic flavour, çåìgära-rasa. May the fault of wicked behaviour, which is so prevalent in Kali-yuga, never enter this servant of Shri Madhusüdana.
