Translation

“As Kṛṣṇa joyfully makes the bed, he experiences many internal visions. When a bird landing on a tree rustles the leaves and makes the slightest sound, Kṛṣṇa glances with startled eyes along the path of your expected arrival.”

Commentary

The sakhé informs Rädhä, “As soon as an insignificant rustling sound comes from falling leaves, movements of the air or birds coming and going in the trees, Kṛṣṇa is filled with anticipation: ‘Perhaps Rädhä is coming.’ With joyful enthusiasm, he becomes busy in quickly decorating the bed and he glances towards the path of your expected arrival with startled eyes.”
